Acrylic on canvas
60.0060.00

Lauren Benrimon is a New York City based artist known for her vibrant, wild use of color, texture and rhythmic paintings. The daughter of gallery owner David Benrimon, Lauren was deeply influenced by Modern artists from young age. Works by Jackson Pollock, Joan Mitchell, and Andy Warhol were her everyday casual childhood environment and served as a foundation for a rich and long lasting arts education culminating in a practice with more reverence end employment of the high-art aesthetics of the 60s, 70s, and 80s then many of her contemporaries. Despite this, her use of color is quintessentially of our time, reflecting the hue experiments in recent fashion and design made available through advances in pigment technology, discovery, and manufacturing.
